As Nataraja, the “King of Dance,” Shiva regulates the order of the world. When he grows tired of dancing and stops, chaos reigns in the universe.
“The whole universe is caught up in a whirling stream of change and activity. This is the dance of Shiva. We all dance with Shiva, and He with us. Ultimately, we are the dancing Shiva.”
S. Subramuniyaswami, “Dancing with Siva”
