The main character of the film, Dan Millman, is a talented gymnast who dreams of competing at the Olympic Games. He has a reckless, carefree life: lots of friends and girls, nightclubs, a powerful motorbike.
But everything collapses in an instant when, rushing to training, he has an accident and is seriously injured.
At the same time he meets a mysterious stranger, who opens up to the hero a completely new world of human possibilities through self-knowledge. Dan’s life turns a new page. Changing himself and gaining faith, he begins the life of a peaceful warrior, discovering new possibilities.
“…The journey is what makes us happy, not the destination…” is a phrase that is at once simple and true, yet in real life hard for the heart to accept. “Everyone tells you what to do and what’s good for you. They don’t want you to find your own answers, they want you to believe theirs.” “I want you to stop looking for something outside yourself and listen to what is inside you. People are afraid of what’s inside, and yet it’s the only place where they can find what they need.”
The film is based on real events, on the autobiographical book by D. Millman, “Way of the Peaceful Warrior” (1980). And one definitely wants to call it brilliant, stunning, philosophical and …..
