I Throw Your Illness Away

I Throw Your Illness Away

Affirmations for happiness and health. How to use “mother’s medicine”. The mothers of great people. The rule of the first three minutes

It turns out that it is not always necessary to rush to the pharmacy or call a doctor the moment a child falls ill. First of all, a mother should listen to her instinct and carry out a few simple actions. Perhaps that will be enough.

It is well known that there is a very strong bond between a mother and her child. According to the child psychiatrist Boris Drapkin, thanks to this bond mothers can even help their children cope with illnesses. A mother can also set her child up for happiness simply with the right words. Mom’s voice becomes, as it were, the child’s inner voice.

If a mother is constantly angry and irritated, and keeps repeating that her little one is not the way she would like him to be, the growing little person is given a program of failure and illness. And conversely, if this voice constantly approves, supports and sets the child up for happiness and health, then all psycho-emotional processes return to normal.

Kind words should always be spoken to children, but the four-block method is best used while the child is asleep. Do not think that he will not hear you in his sleep – quite the opposite: his subconscious will remember perfectly well what his mother whispered to him at night.

Affirmations for happiness and health

There are certain phrases that a mother should say to her child – whether the child is ill or healthy. The basic part of this suggestion consists of four blocks in which every word has been thought through and tested, so they must not be changed.

Block 1: “The vitamin of a mother’s love”.

Here, with these words, the mother pours out all her love on the child:

“I love you very, very much. You are the dearest and closest thing I have. You are my own little part of me, my own flesh and blood. I cannot live without you. Daddy and I love you very much.”

Block 2: “Mom therapy” – affirmation for physical health.

For mild ailments, these are exactly the words that can help without any medicine:

“You are a strong, healthy, beautiful child, my boy (my girl). You eat well, and that is why you grow and develop quickly. You have a strong, healthy little heart, little chest and little tummy. You move easily and beautifully. You are hardy, you rarely get ill, and only a little.”

Block 3: “Harmonious development” – affirmation for nervous and mental health.

“You are a calm boy (girl). You have good, strong nerves. You are patient, you are kind, you are sociable. You are clever. Your little head is developing well. You understand and remember everything well. You are always in a good mood, and you love to smile. You sleep well. You fall asleep easily and quickly, and you have only good, kind dreams. You rest well when you sleep. Your speech is developing well and quickly.”

Block 4: “I take it away and throw it out”.

This reflects all of folk wisdom, for since ancient times a mother would take her sick child, hold him close and cleanse him of the ailment with her inner strength:

“I take away and throw out your illness and your difficulties…

(then the mother names the child’s specific problems):

I take away and throw out your poor sleep.

I take away and throw out your scary dreams.

I take away and throw out your tearfulness.

I take away and throw out your dislike of food.

(And so on – whatever else you want to help your child get rid of.) And, of course, the closing phrase of this block:

I love you very, very much.”

Of course, if your little one is seriously ill, words alone will not be enough, and you need to see a specialist. Then the treatment prescribed by your doctor will be added to these four basic blocks.

How to use “mother’s medicine”

Kind words should always be spoken to your children, but the four-block method is best used while the child is asleep. Do not think that he will not hear you in his sleep – quite the opposite: his subconscious will remember perfectly well what his mother whispered to him at night.

So, 20–30 minutes after your little one has fallen asleep, sit down by the bed with the text in your hands and read each phrase three times: first silently to yourself, then silently addressing the child, and then out loud.

Do this every day: for a week, a month, two months – it depends on the problem itself and on the child’s condition. Neither a high temperature nor other symptoms of illness are contraindications to “mom’s treatment”. But if the mother herself is not in good shape (she is ill, on edge, upset or too tired), it is better to cancel the session.

When you begin this magical “treatment”, it is a good idea to keep a special notebook with two columns. On the right, describe all the symptoms of your child’s illness or problem, and in the left column regularly write down everything good. For example: sleeps better, eats better, has become livelier, smiles more often, has made new friends, and so on.

The mothers of great people

Many great people known all over the world owe much of their genius and success to their mothers, who were often ordinary housewives devoted to their family and children, yet remained interesting, many-sided personalities.

Their lives, though, could hardly be called easy. Many of them had to go through a great many trials to feed their children and raise them. And how much worrying they had to do afterwards over their brilliant grown-up offspring!

Despite the worldwide fame of their offspring, little is known about their mothers, and few people take an interest in them. Today let us remember at least a few of these mothers and find out how their great children spoke of them.

Anton Chekhov’s mother

“Our talent comes from our father’s side, and our soul from our mother’s,” Anton Pavlovich used to say, remembering his parents.

Yevgenia Yakovlevna Chekhova

His mother, Yevgenia Yakovlevna, was a warm-hearted, gentle and caring person. She devoted herself entirely to her children, of whom she had seven. Yevgenia Yakovlevna loved the theater and managed to instill this love in her children.

“My father and mother are the only people on the whole globe for whom I will never begrudge anything,” Anton Pavlovich confessed. “If I ever rise high, it will be the work of their hands; they are fine people, and their boundless love for their children alone puts them above all praise and covers all the shortcomings that a hard life may have given them.”

Dmitri Mendeleev’s mother

Maria Dmitrievna – the mother of Mendeleev and of 16 other children – had to work hard after her husband went blind, yet she managed to give all her children a good education, and it was she who set her youngest son Mitya on the path of science.

Maria Dmitrievna and Ivan Pavlovich Mendeleev

In his “Study of Aqueous Solutions by Specific Gravity” he wrote: “This study is dedicated to the memory of his mother by her youngest child. She could raise him only by her own labor, running a factory business; she brought him up by example, corrected him with love and, in order to give him to science, took him out of Siberia, spending her last means and strength…”

The rule of the first three minutes

Many psychotherapists believe that the problems of adults – for example, a tendency towards depression and neuroses – “grow” out of childhood and are explained by a lack of attention and love at that time.

Mothers are advised to hold their baby in their arms as much as possible, to touch him tenderly and to talk to him. Then the little one, and later the adult, will feel protected. And there is another important rule – “the rule of the first three minutes”. It works, by the way, both for children and for spouses. When a family starts following this rule, they notice that it changes a great deal in their relationships for the better. So what is its essence?

According to the practicing psychologist Natalia Sirotich, the rule is to always greet your child with such enormous joy as if you were meeting someone you had not seen for many years. And it does not matter whether you are coming back from the shop you popped out to for a moment or coming home from work.

Usually a child pours out everything he is eager to share with you in the first minutes of meeting, so it is important not to miss this time. What matters enormously here is not the amount of time spent with the child, but emotional closeness with him. Sometimes a few minutes of heartfelt conversation mean much more to a little one than a whole day spent together with you while you are in fact busy with something else. The fact that we are always rushing somewhere and forever preoccupied will certainly not make our children happier, even if we believe we are doing it for them and for their well-being.

However, the expression “time together” means different things to parents and to children. For adults it is enough that the children are simply near them while they do something at home or go to the shop. But for children, “time together” means looking eye to eye, when the parents sit down beside them, put away their mobile phones, set aside thoughts of their hundreds of problems and are not distracted by anything else at all. A child will never open up if he feels that, at the moment of contact, his parents have something more important than him as a priority. Of course, parents do not always have time to play with their children, but in such minutes you should do only what the child wants. There is no need to offer him your own ideas of how to spend free time.

Natalia Sirotich advises parents coming home from work to give the child their full attention right away: to sit beside him, ask about his day and listen, and only then go and have dinner, watch TV or do something else.

By the way, it is easy to spot parents who follow “the rule of the first three minutes”. For example, when picking their child up from kindergarten or school, they always crouch down to his eye level, hug him when they meet and say that they missed him. Whereas other parents simply take the child by the hand, say “let’s go”, and may even be talking on the phone at the same time.

Remember that time flies, and you will not even notice how quickly your sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters grow up. So do not lose any time, and start building a trusting relationship with them right now.
